Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the TWAINING app, its connection to your AI assistant and the twaining.app website. By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
TWAINING, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with share capital of [TO COMPLETE: share capital], registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 131 920 787, with its registered office at 138 avenue Victor Hugo, 75116 Paris, France (“TWAINING”, “we”, “us”).

2. The service
TWAINING is an iPhone app for doing your training: guided sessions, timers and rest periods, GPS runs, history and progress. Coaching (building and adjusting your program, reviewing your results) happens in your own assistant, ChatGPT or Claude, which you connect to TWAINING. TWAINING has no built-in AI coach.
Requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Your ChatGPT or Claude account is separate from TWAINING, and any subscription to it is not included.
3. Your account
You create your account with Sign in with Apple. You must be at least 16 years old. Your account is personal: you are responsible for access to your iPhone and your Apple Account.
4. Your assistant
ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) are third-party services, independent of TWAINING and governed by their own terms. When you connect your assistant, you allow it to view and change your training data in TWAINING. Programs and advice come from your assistant: TWAINING runs them but does not check whether they are right for you. You can revoke access from the app at any time.
5. Health and safety
TWAINING is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. AI-generated programs may not suit your situation. Talk to a doctor before starting or ramping up any training, especially if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual shortness of breath. When running, stay aware of your surroundings and follow traffic laws. You alone decide which weights and efforts you take on.
6. Subscriptions
- Some features require a weekly or yearly subscription, purchased in the app through the App Store. The App Store shows the price and length before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- If a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you subscribe; the paid subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.
- If the price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
Subscriptions purchased on twaining.app
- You can also subscribe at twaining.app/en/plans, with the same plans. Payment is processed by Stripe; the price, applicable tax, length and any free trial are shown before you confirm.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel anytime from the plans page, signed in with Apple, or from the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. A free trial canceled before it ends is never charged.
- Deleting your account also ends this subscription. [TO REVIEW: refund policy, state auto-renewal notices]
7. Your content
Your programs, sessions, notes and data remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only to run the service and to send them to the assistants you connect. See our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t try to bypass the service’s protections, access other users’ data, overload the service with abusive automated requests, or use it in violation of the law.
9. Intellectual property
The app, the TWAINING brand, text and visuals are protected. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own private use, on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.
10. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep TWAINING available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Loaded sessions keep working offline. The service may evolve; if a change removes a core feature of your subscription, we will let you know in advance.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TWAINING IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR CONTENT PRODUCED BY YOUR ASSISTANT, FOR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR FOR INJURIES RESULTING FROM TRAINING DONE WITHOUT THE PRECAUTIONS IN SECTION 5. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR TWAINING IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live, or our liability where it cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app; an App Store subscription is canceled separately in your Apple settings, while a subscription purchased on twaining.app ends with the account. We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, with notice unless urgent.
13. App Store terms
- These terms are between you and TWAINING, not Apple. TWAINING, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- TWAINING, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the app (product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection, third-party intellectual property).
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify you in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live. If you have a problem, email us first at contact@twaining.app; most issues can be solved that way. Otherwise, you may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence or any other competent court.
